The Sunset Speedway has been in Canada for over 25 years, and over the past few years has been upgraded with a new track, new ownership and has a higher car count than ever. Surround was hired to bring all of this to the public with a new website and marketing program built to drive awareness and ticket sales.
Working with Sunset to design and build a new website was a lot of fun. We took advantage of the newest online technologies that enable the site to work on all screen sizes. For added functionality, we added iCal and Google Calendar integration to post race dates in your calendar along with Eventbrite online ticket sales and at-track redemption so that people can buy tickets before the race day. Sunset can now accept tickets on mobile phones.
Our integrated marketing programs combine disciplines to include Design and Direction, Local Event Marketing, Digital Media, Newspaper, Direct Mail, Radio, Social Media, Search Engines and Media Relations. This exciting and ever-evolving program is planned for execution through summer 2014. Check back for an update in October.
During Sunset Speedway races, we are Live-Tweeting race highlights and results and combining our social media efforts with hundreds of drivers and race enthusiasts to extend our reach through powerful earned media. Radio is also being integrated into social media and online contests to help dive people from the radio to the online ticket system.
